Colburn & Associates was established in 1995 to provide our clients with high quality strategic marketing research and consulting services.  The president, Paul Colburn, has held various marketing and marketing research positions in the pharmaceutical industry including Endo Laboratories and DuPont Pharmaceutical (DuPont-Merck) from 1980 to 1986, and Glaxo (GSK) from 1986-1995.  At Glaxo (GSK) Paul was the Director of Marketing Research and New Business Assessment.  Paul was also President (1995) and Vice President (1993-1995) of the Pharmaceutical Marketing Research Group (PMRG) which is a national pharmaceutical industry association for market research professionals and Paul still maintains a position on the Associate Board of Directors of this organization. While at Glaxo Paul was instrumental in designing and executing the marketing research programs for gastrointestinal and anti-infective products.  Paul has a BS in Pharmacy and an MBA from Drexel University LeBow School of Business.

Paul's vision is to personally assist you in understanding your customer's decision-making process so you can best position your products to maximize sales.  While we have the capability to design conduct all types of marketing studies, our core competency is qualitative research including focus groups, one-on-one interviews, mini-groups/triads, thought leader studies and telephone studies.  Our clients include most major pharmaceutical firms and we have experience in most treatment areas and conducting interviews with various medical staff, hospital administrators, MCOs, GPOs, corporate management, consumers and patients.
